One hundred years after its discovery, superconductivity is one of the most studied topics nowadays in laboratories around the world, both for understanding its origin on fundamental side and for its numerous applications. Many great scientists have helped to unravel the mysteries of superconductivity. New superconductors have been recently discovered, which attract an intense activity to understand their properties. Superconductivity at the nanometer scale is also studied. Analogs of superconductivity can even be found in ultra-cold gaz, or in superfluid helium.
